I read with particular interest the column titled Demonizing Sub-prime Lenders (Capitol Research Center).
The author does a good job in demonstrating the socialist rantings of politicians eagar to promote themselves with no regard as to the consequences. I do believe that the lenders do bare much of the blame here. If a few of the larger banks would quit crying and expecting a bale-out for their poor management; would take responsibility for not being as smart as a street corner bookie ( a good bookie always lays off some risk) and be willing to face the rightful wrath of their shareholders; then and only then will the truth of the matter come to light and keep the politicians from further destroying the economy. The corporate boys and girls sure can spin to save their butts. I see very little difference between the bankers and the pols here.

Why do elected officials feel free to neglect their respective jobs to run for another office while being paid for the office they currently hold? Could any of their constintuents leave the responsibility of their jobs to others and receive full pay and benefits to do this? What do you think?
